State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Verbandsgemeinde : Zweibrücken-Land

Wappen von Großsteinhausen/Arms (crest) of Großsteinhausen
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 7, 1982.

The eagle and cross are taken from the arms of the medieval Lords of Ettendorf, who ruled the villages of Gross- and Kleinsteinhausen. The second quarter shows the local church, whereas the plough in the third quarter refers to the agricultural character of the village.
