GROSSHART

State : Steiermark
District : Hartberg-Fürstenfeld (until 2015 Hartberg)
Incorporated into: 2015 Hartl

Wappen von Großhart

Official blazon

In Rot ein silberner Reiher mit einem silbernen Fisch im Schnabel, unterlegt von einem schräglinken silbernen Schwert.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 16, 1986.

Großhart is a municipality in Eastern Styria. Over the centuries, it has suffered in the course of several invasions. To denote this, a sword was put into the arms. The heron is a reference to the Harter Teich, a small lake or pond with an interesting fauna.
