Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 22, 1995, but were already designed in 1934.

Turtles were very common in the area until the late 18th century. They were even exported during Lent to Bohemia and further. Nearly extinct, they were re-introduced in 1999. The green refers to nature, forest and meadows.

The lower half refers to the 8 lakes and rivers in the municipality.
