Origin/meaning :
The arms were registered in 1977.

The pot symbolises the local history of pottery. From 1973-1977 the municipality used a green shield with a brown pot, with a blue wavy bar for the Gudenå river and tree brown hills for the local hills. This design was simplified in 1977. The design of the pot was based on a local type of pot, a Barselpotte, used in local traditions. It thus symbolises the local community and good neighbours.
