Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1984.

The first quarter shows the historical city hall. The second quarter shows some plants and fruits, symbolising the importance of agriculture. The lower two quarters show buildings in the municipality, the kiosk and fountain in the third quarter and the church of Santa Cruz in the fourth quarter. The escutcheon shows the lion of the province of Nuevo León. The bordure shows the words cultura, progreso and trabajo (culture, progress and labour). Above the shield is an image of General Nicolás Bravo, after which the town is named.
