Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ?

The arms were designed after a local contest, but were hardly used by the municipality.

The arms were already used in the 1980s. The three roses refer to the cultivation of roses in the municipality for more as 100 years. The base refers to the Havel and other waters in the municipality.

The unique horse skull refers to the fact that the crossing over a branch of the Havel was made possible by paving the riverbed with hundreds of horse skulls.
