GAMPRIN

Arms (crest) of Gamprin

Official blazon

Blauer Schild schrägrechts geteilt durch das Wellenband des Rheins, beseitet von zwei silbernen Rosen mit goldenen Butzen und goldenen Kelchblättern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 30, 1958.

The golden waves refer to Gamprin's position on the Rhine, while the two roses recall the Knights of Limpach who resided at Bendern. The Limpach family owned Bendern and other estates on the Eschnerberg; in 1194 Rüdiger von Limpach bequeathed them to the church of St.Luzi at Chur.
