Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on ??-??-???

The arms are based on the medieval arms of the Lords Von Godelinchem from the 13th and 14th century.Their arms show a ecclesial cloth, which is shown in the colours of the district. The small 'shield' on the cloth actually is a golden urn, which dates from the Bronze Age and was found near the village in 1840. The two acorns in the base symbolise the two villages of Haftenkamp and Hardinghausen.
