FRANCEVILLE
Province : Haut-Ogooué
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The border is canting since it shows the French national colours. The Portuguese explorer Savorgnan De Brazza assembled a fleet here before he set off to explore the great Congo River, that event is recalled by the flag from his arms and the anchor. The black colour symbolises Africa.
