Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 10, 1958.

The wavy bends and the two bolts of lightning refer to the Indalsälv river and the hydro-electric plant in the river. The tree refers to the local forests and forestry.The arms were continued by the new Ragunda municipality in 1970.
