FISS

State : Tirol
District : Landeck

Wappen von Fiss

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 22, 1974.

The sun is a symbol for the Sonnenterrasse region, to which Fiss belongs. The barley ears are symbol for the barley cultivation, which is unusual due to the high altitude (over 1300 m) of the municipality.
