FISCHBACH-GÖSLIKON

Canton : Aargau

Wappen von Fischbach-Göslikon

Official blazon

In Rot gekrümmter weisser Fisch.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on April 19, 1938 and confirmed on September 12, 1985.

The arms are canting, showing a fish (Fisch).

Already in 1914 a design with two fish (for each of the villages) and a wavy bend sinister (Bach, meaning brook or stream) was proposed. The municipality, however, did not adopt arms until much later.
