Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 29, 1957.

The colour of the arms refer to the arms of the Counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken, to which the village historically belonged. The crown is a symbol for Katharine Magarete Kest, Countess of Ottweiler.
