Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 9, 1994.

The oldest known seal of the municipality dates from 1928 and shows a flying falcon over a landscape with forest and a church. Later seals show a more canting design of a falcon over a lake (See).

In 1970 this design was made into a shield showing a falcon on a green (agricultural) field, with above the sky with the sun and below a lake with a carp. In 1994 this design was improved with two small silver bends, as green on blue is against the heraldic rule of colour.
