FÉCHY

Canton : Vaud

Armoiries de Féchy

Official blazon

D'azur à deux colonnes d'argent soutenues chacune d'un mont du même, accompagnées en chef d'une grappe de raisin d'or feuillée de sinople.

Origin/meaning

When the arms were first adopted in 1906, it also included a heart between the columns, which was removed in 1923.

The arms are based on the arms of the Grand Saint Bernard Abbey, to which Féchy belonged until 1536. The star in the chief of the Abbey arms has been replaced by a bunch of grapes for the importance of viticulture.
