Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1970 and show in the upper left corner the arms of the Counts of Sternberg. These ruled the area for many centuries from their castle Sternberg in the municipality. The lower part shows the Exter river and thus is a canting element.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
