ESCHEN

Arms (crest) of Eschen

Official blazon

Eine silberne Taube mit dem blutigen Holzspan im Schnabel oben im blauen Schild und unten das silberne Wellenband der Esche.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 16, 1942.

The silver dove with the bloody wood-shaving in its beak appears in the arms of Pfäfers Abbey, which previously had the patronage over the church of Eschen and received its tithes. The waves indicate the brook Esche.
