Escudo mantelado, flanco dextro de vermelho, uma grelha de ouro apontada a chefe, flanco sinistro de negro, duas espigas de milho e uma de trigo, cruzadas e atadas por uma fita verde em chefe, parte de roda dentada de prata; contra chefe facetado ondeado de prata e azul. Coroa mural de cinco torres, como cidade que é. Em listel de branco, sotoposto ao escudo, a legenda em letras de negro, maiúsculas – “CIDADE DE ERMESINDE”.
