State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Main-Spessart
Additions: 1975 Tiefenthal

Wappen von Erlenbach bei Marktheidenfeld/Arms (crest) of Erlenbach bei Marktheidenfeld
Official blazon
German In Rot ein mit einer blauen Traube an goldenem Rebstück belegtes silbernes Herz; ihm unterlegt zwei schräg gekreuzte goldene Pfeile, beseitet von zwei sechsstrahligen silbernen Sternen

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 21, 1965.

The arms are based on the 18th century seal of the village, which already showed a heart, grapes, stars and arrows in the above composition. The heart probably symbolises the love of the community. The grapes symbolise the local viticulture. The stars are derived from the roses of the Wertheim family, the arrows are a symbol for the defence of the village. The colours silver and red are derived from the colours of the State of Würzburg, to which the area belonged from 1612-1803.
