Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 30, 1986.

The arms are a combination of the arms of the Lords of Mamming, the Lords of Kretz (lion) and the monastery of Admont (diamonds) in Austria.

In 1125 the village and adjacent grounds were given to the monastery, that was founded in 1115. The monastery was represented by an Amtmann (representative) who often was a local nobleman. Some of these were members of the two families represented in the arms of the municipality.
