Additions : 1971 Massenbach; 1972 Dorsbrunn (partly), Stopfenheim
Official blazon
- (de) In Blau ein silberner Mittelschild, darin ein schwebendes blaues Andreaskreuz.
Origin/meaning
Ellingen was a possession of the Teutonic Order until 1806 and did not have its own arms or seals. On July 18, 1817 the present arms were granted. The cross was used as a symbol for the Order, but both the shape and colour were changed. The present colours are the Bavarian colours.
