Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 30, 1993.
The lion holding a halberd comes from the arms of the Ferraz family, the first owners of the lands on which the city now stands. The chief shows hunting horns for the lands of Elisiário Ferreira Penteado de Camargo which now are also part of the municipality, and who founded the village in 1915.
The shield is flanked by oranges and sugar cane, the main crops in the region.
