ELEN

Province : Limburg
Incorporated into: 1977 Dilsen

Wapen van Elen/Coat of arms (crest) of Elen

Official blazon

Gedeeld, het eerste met smalle gouden en roode dwarsstrepen, het tweede blauw met een gouden sleutel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 26, 1906.

The arms are a combination of the arms of the County Loon, to which the area historically belonged, and a key for St. Peter, the local patron saint. This combination already appeared on the seal of the local council from 1622.

Wapen van/Blason de Elen

The arms in the Koffie Hag/Café Hag albums +/- 1930
