Region : Canarias
Province : Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Rosariosct.png

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 21, 1964.

The five roses are symbolizing the five mysteries of St. Rosario, who gave the municipality its name. There are large forests of pine trees around La Esperanza. The anchor for Christians is a symbol of hope (span.: esperanza), which is the capital of that municipality. The rectangles are referring to a "game of pales", played even by the aborigines and also today.
