In Rot zwei durch eine silberne Mauer verbundene, spitz bedachte silberne Rundtürme, darüber schwebend ein goldener Apfel mit Stiel und Blatt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 14, 1966.

The apple (Effel, Apfel) is a canting element. The name dates from medieval times and means an apple-rich area. The building is the building on the local cemetary, a local monument dating from medieval times.
