State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Bad Kreuznach
Incorporated into : 1969 Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg

Ebernbur.jpg

Official blazon

Durch eine eingebogene rote Spitze, darin ein schwebender silberner Zinnentum, von Schwarz und Silber gespalten, rechts fünf silberne Kugeln 2:1:2, links ein grüner Palmzweig.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 28, 1967.

The five silver balls are the arms of the Lords of Sickingen, to whom the area historically belonged. The tower is the local Ebernburg, a possession of the Lord of Sickingen.

The palm leaf represents the local patron saint. St. Cyriacus.

Until 1966 the village used as arms the figure of Cyriacus, based on the historical seal. These arms were never officially granted.
