Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 12, 1972.

The chevron in the arms is taken from the arms of the medieval Lords of Ebbs. The name of the village in pre-Roman times was (translated) Rosbach or horse-river. This is symbolised by the horsehead, which also indicates the longtime horse breeding in the region.
