În dreapta, în câmp roșu, se află un mănunchi compus din șase spice de grâu de aur. În stânga, în câmp auriu, se află un ciorchine de strugure verde, cu două frunze de aceeași culoare, cu codiță naturală și cârcel orientat spre senestra. În vârful scutului, în câmp albastru, se află o roată de moară peste valuri, totul de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu trei turnuri crenelate.

The arms were officially granted on October 15, 2014.

The 6 wheat ears symbolize the main occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture practiced in the Boian Plain, and their number indicates the five neighborhoods of the city. The grapes indicate the importance of viticulture.

The mill wheel symbolises the reservoir and the hydroelectric power plant on the Olt River.
