Origin/meaning

The arms of the city (German name Guttentag) combine the eagle of <a href="oos/ooshong/o-sileziUpper Silezia]] with the rose of the Lords of Rosenberg, who owned the village during medieval times. The composition already appeared on the seal of the town in the 17th century.
