Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 6, 1982.

The wavy bend symbolises the Kohlbach river in the municipality. The village historically depended on coal mining, symbolised by the tools, but since the early 20th century the main activity is cherry cultivation.

Literature: Debus, 1988
