The Keys symbolises St Peter which thogether with St Paul is patron of the Cathedral of Linköping. The Keys was placed in the Chapter Seal in the 1250ies. To which a Crozier was added in the 1290ies.
The Tinctures was fist added in 1962 when the State Archives created drawings for Porcelain to the Bishop's residence.
