Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on July 17, 1972.

The wheat-ear stands for the dominantly agrarian character of the municipality. The fleur-de-lis symbolises the local church, dedicated to Our Lady the Blessed Virgin. The fountain represents an important mineral spring, the Peterquelle, springing from the municipality. The water is bottled and sold nation-wide under the brand "Peterquelle".
