Dammed.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1928 and were newly devised.

The first and fourth quarter are taken from the arms of Oldenburg, to which Damme belonged in 1928. The second quarter shows St. Victor, the patron saint of the village church, founded in the 9th century. The third quarter shows a plough iron as a symbol for the agriculture in the area.
