DÄRSTETTEN

Canton : Bern
Bezirk : Frutigen-Niedersimmental (until 2010 Niedersimmental)

Wappen von Därstetten

Official blazon

In Rot eine zweitürmige silberne Burg, darüber eine gefüllte, silberne, goldbesamte Rose mit grünen Kelchzipfeln

Origin/meaning

The arms were devised in 1924 and officially adopted in 1929. The castle is taken from the arms of the district Niedersimmental, to which the village belonged. The rose is taken as a symbol of the St. Mary, patron saint of the village church.
