Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on November 10, 2010.

The arms combine the tower from the old arms (see bleow), with the pelican from the old arms of Żydowo, a village in the municipality.

The tower has been used on the seals since 1386 when Czerniejewo received city rights.
