Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 11, 2013.

The 8-pointed star is a symbol of a spur wheel, as well as of the reformed religion of the inhabitants and of the places of worship in the area.

The horse's head is representative for the famous local horse fairs, for the cavalry battalion that had its headquarters in the locality and the agrotourism development projects.

The red cakes represent both the 3 founding families and the herbal treatments, described in the work Dietetica (1726) by the famous doctor Dr. Kibedi Matyus Istvan, a native of the town, who is also responsible for the restoration of the Reformed church, declared a historical monument.

The silver background represents the archaeological discoveries from the old fortress on Csombord Hill (Ash Hill).

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
