Département : Charente-Maritime

Blason de Chenac-Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet/Arms (crest) of Chenac-Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet
Official blazon
French Tiercé en pairle renversé: au 1er de gueules au chêne d'or, au 2e d'or à la grappe de raisin de pourpre tigée et feuillé au naturel, au 3e d'azur à l'esturgeon d'argent.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on July 19, 2015.

The oak refers to both the name Chenac and the meaning of the old word "uzet": oak woods.

The sturgeon symbolises that Saint-Seurin d'Uzet was the "capital of caviar" and the grapes refer to the main economic resource of the town, the production of Pineau des Charentes.
