Escudo de vermelho, um ramo de sobreiro de prata, landado de ouro e duas espigas de trigo do mesmo, com os pés passados em aspa, atados em torçal de prata; em chefe, duas maças de cerimónia, de ouro, passadas em aspa. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ CHANCELARIA – ALTER DO CHÃO “.

The arms were officially granted on October 18, 2000.
