Origin/meaning

The arms show in the lower part the multiple sources of the Montfras river in the municipality. The upper part shows some leaves for the local forests, the colours are taken from the arms of Cardinal César-Guillaume de La Luzerne (1738-1821), lord of the village in the 18th century.
