The National Arms of the Cayman Islands The National Flag Location

Administrative division

The Cayman Islands is an internally self-governing overseas territory of the United Kingdom.

Heraldry

National arms

The arms were granted on May 14, 1958.

Previously the islands had no own arms or badge. The arms show the British lion as the islands are a British Crown Colony in the upper part. The three stars on the waves symbolise the islands themselves. The crest shows a turtle and pineapple. The motto is 'He hath founded it upon the seas'.

As fas as I know no other civic arms have been used in the country.
