Canting arms: they show traditionally a "col" (Catalan for "cabbage"), because the popular pronunciation of the town is "Colonge". Calonge became the centre of a barony in the 15th century: the golden chess-rook on azure is taken from the arms of the Requesens family, barons of the town. There is also the baron crown at the top. Finally there are the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon, four red pales on gold.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 28, 1984.
