- (fr) Écartelé : au 1er de gueules à la croisette pommetée d'argent, au 2e d'or au chêne arraché de sinople au sanglier de sable brochant sur le fût, au 3e d'or à l'aigle de gueules au vol abaissé, au 4e de gueules à quatre coquilles d'argent rangées 2 et 2.
Origin/meaning
The first three quarters show the arms of noble families associated with the village in the (late) medieval times. These are the Apat (I), Etchacon (II) and Etchepare (III) families.
The fourth quarter refers to the commandery of Saint Nicolas of Apat-Ospital, held by the knights of Saint John of Jerusalem from the twelfth century.
