Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 16, 1970.

The arms are canting, showing a beech (Buche) tree. The tree was first used on the 19^th century seal of the village. Although the council adopted the image as arms in 1952 (including arbitrarily colours), it took until 1970 before the arms were finally granted.
