Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 16, 1970.

The arms are canting, showing a beech (Buche) tree. The tree was first used on the 19th century seal of the village. Although the council adopted the image as arms in 1952 (including arbitrarily colours), it took until 1970 before the arms were finally granted.
