Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 12, 1996.

The porucpine is taken from the arms of the Maupéou family. The second and the third quarter refer to the main economic activities; agriculture and industry. The fourth quarter symbolises the Oise river and the canal near the municipality with a boat, indicating the importance of the canal for shipping.
