Official blazon

Escut caironat: de gules, un castell d'or obert sobremuntat d'una creu floronada i buidada d'argent, i acostat de 2 fogueres d'or. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 22, 1995.

The castle of Brunyola, shown in the arms, dates from the 10th century, and now, having been restored, is the seat of the local council. The cross is taken from the arms of the Vilademany family, the lords of the castle. The two bonfires at each side of the castle are the attribute of St. Fruitós, the local patron saint, the bishop of Tarragona who died in 259 a.D., martyred in a bonfire
