Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 4, 1983.

The rose is taken as a symbol for St. Mary, the local patron saint. The base is shaped like a 'bath' as the local spa with iron-rich waters, which was historically known as the Gnadenbad. Already in the 17th century the village was famous for this spa.
