Arms (crest) of Broby

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially registered in 1981.

The arms show three pikes, a type of arms manufactured in the area between 1648-1657 for the Danish army and also used by the Royal Guards of King Frederik III. The tassels are therefore in the colours of the Royal House. The pikes were used by the Royal Guard until the funeral of King Frederik IX in 1972.
