Origin/meaning

The new arms are identical to those of Gossensaß, see there.

The previous arms were granted on July 24, 1938.

The arms show the cross of Savoie, at the time the ruling dynasty of Italy, the eagle of the Italian state and the well known Brennerpass with the borderstone.
