BREIDENBACH

Département : Moselle

Blason de Breidenbach
Official blazon
French D'or à la fasce ondée d'azur, au rencontre de cerf sommé d'une croix de Lorraine de gueules brochant sur le tout.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show a deer head with a cross, the symbol for St. Hubertus, the local patron saint. In this case the cross has been changed to the cross of Lorraine, as the village is part of Lorraine. The blue bar is canting and symbolises the Breidenbach river (Breidenbach means broad stream/brook).
